J. Alexander’s Redlands Grill
Located in Rookwood Commons & Pavilion, the Redlands Grill project comprised of a complete demolition and renovation of the restaurant as part of the chain’s brand refresh. Maintaining the operations of the restaurant, North Shore phased the construction over months of third-shift work to upgrade the exterior and remove and replace all interior finishes, including flooring, booths, tables & chairs, light fixtures, paint, and newly-constructed platform seating. Restrooms were completely refreshed with new plumbing fixtures, countertops, floor and wall tile, and improved ADA accessibility through the isolated demolition and rebuilding of drywall partitions - all while maintaining use for lunch and dinner guests. The hostess stand and bar were outfitted with all new millwork panels and quartzite countertops - highlighted by recessed rope lighting - as a new wine storage space was built-out and custom, field-manufactured lighting panels were installed throughout the entry and bar area.
